Parking suspensions
Most London streets are controlled, and the removal lorry needs to park close to your door. Each council runs its own suspension scheme with its own notice period. For example, Ealing and Bromley ask for 3 working days, Hounslow, Westminster and Croydon for 10 working days, and Camden asks you to book 17 days ahead. Some councils, such as Kensington and Chelsea and Islington, have their own rules for domestic removals. Red routes and loading
Many main roads in London are TfL red routes, where vehicles may only stop and load where the signs allow and must move on as soon as loading is done. If your home or office is on a red route, we check where the lorry can legally stop at the survey and plan the carry from there.
Emission zones
The Ultra Low Emission Zone now covers all London boroughs, and larger lorries also fall under the London-wide Low Emission Zone. Central London has the Congestion Charge on top. We plan vehicles and routes around these zones as part of the job.
Flats, lifts and building rules
Managed blocks and office buildings often need a booked lift, set move times and protection for communal areas. Tell us your building and we’ll work through its rules with the managing agent before the day.
Completion days and chains

What do you need from me before the move?
Just your moving date, both addresses and a rough idea of what’s going. If you’re packing yourself, have boxes sealed and labelled by the time we arrive, or let us do the packing for you.
How much notice do you need?
As much as you can give, ideally as soon as your solicitor has an expected completion date. Fridays and month-ends book up fast, but we’ll always try to help with short-notice moves.
Do I need a parking suspension in London?
Often, yes, because most London streets are controlled. Each council sets its own notice period, from about 3 working days to more than two weeks. We’ll check your street and help you arrange a suspension so the van can park right outside.
What happens if there's a delay on moving day?
