Parking suspensions in Twickenham
Many Twickenham streets are inside a controlled parking zone, so the lorry may need a parking bay suspension to stop outside your door. Richmond Council handles these by application form and email. Its page asks for at least seven working days’ notice, or at least 10 days for more than eight bays, and it also mentions 10 working days at the top, so we treat 10 working days as the safe minimum. A removal lorry caught in that can lose hours. When you give us a date, check it against the stadium’s events calendar. If there’s a clash, we’ll plan an earlier start or suggest another day.
Riverside streets and Eel Pie Island
Some streets near the river are narrow, with little turning space for a large vehicle. Eel Pie Island is reached by a footbridge, with no vehicle access, so everything has to be carried across. If you’re moving there, tell us early so the survey can plan the crew and the carry properly.
